Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American advisor to the political process, was the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021 to 2022. As a member of Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy director of communications director(2009-2011); spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015 as well as White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki was a political contributor to CNN between 2017-2020. Psaki's career started in 2001 when she began working on behalf of the reelection campaigns for Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democrats running for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was appointed John Kerry's deputy press secretary in 2004. Psaki was also the communications director for Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, and regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 until 2006. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications as press secretary for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaign. [20] Psaki resigned as spokesperson for United States Department of State, on February 11 2013. [20] She was hired at the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21] But, Josh Earnest took his spot on May 30, 2014. She was named Communications Director at the White House and continued to continue to do so until the end of the year in 2015.
